Deborah Cole is a photographer and writer currently residing in Mexico, where she finds endless inspiration in the faces, stories, and culture around her. Through her lens and words, she captures the resilience, strength, and beauty of everyday life, especially in the experiences of women.

She regularly contributes articles, images, and cover photos to Street Photography Magazine and shares her journey as an author and photographer on podcasts highlighting women's life experiences. As a speaker, she passionately discusses her photography journey and the power of visual storytelling.

Her images have been featured in juried shows in Austin, Houston, Dallas, and New York City, as well as in a private gallery in Puerto Vallarta. Beyond her work behind the camera, she serves on the board of directors for the Vallarta School for Girls and proudly sponsors the school's photography program, launched in 2024, to inspire the next generation of storytellers.

Deborah’s books, SHE: Believed She Could So She Did (January 2022) and Black Women in Business: Journeys in Resilience (January 2023), blend her photography and writing to celebrate the strength and determination of women. Her current photography projects include documenting the evolving experiences of women in Mexico as they navigate a shifting cultural landscape, as well as a 2-year relationship documenting a family’s preservation of the vanishing craft of adobe brickmaking.

Whether behind the camera, writing, or teaching, Deborah remains deeply committed to capturing and sharing stories that matter—stories that empower, connect, and inspire.
